Child Safety Education

Safety Education Alliance of America - A Unique Approach

The Safety Education Alliance of America, Inc. is a partnership with years of experience in the field of personal and child safety education. We are committed to the idea, "When you know better, you do better." Our belief is that if you teach children self-respect, character, integrity and decision-making at a young age, you will create citizens who make better decisions, have a civic mind, and are concerned with their fellow citizens and community. Our materials take a different approach to some commonly held prevention techniques. Our hope, here at the Safety Education Alliance of America, is that these child safety education materials will not only grab the interest of children and adults, but make a difference for our current and future generations.

Activities in our Stranger Danger / Bad Behavior safety booklets for kids will help children learn how to identify bad or dangerous behavior in people they know, as well as to avoid these behaviors in strangers. Safety Through Good Choicesgood-choices-set

These safety booklets for kids center on decision making, emphasizing that responsibility for safety lies within the individual child. Although adults teach safety rules, the responsibility lies with the child to obey or disobey those rules. As kids enter middle school or jr high, peer pressure and the need to fit in can cause young people to feel powerless. The activities in these booklets reinforce the idea that young people are in charge of their own actions and have the power to make their own decisions. Consequences, either positive or negative, will depend on the decisions they make. Materials for elementary through high school levels.

Bullyingbullying-set

In today’s world, our children are continually bombarded by TV, music and internet with images and messages that focus on physical beauty and outward appearance. The pressure to look a certain way, be the right size, and wear the right clothing, seems to have surpassed the desire to become people of good character. This series on Bullying brings our young people back to the old philosophy "treat others as you would like to be treated." Child safety education material appropriate for 3rd through 8th grades.

Cyber Safetycyber-safety-set

A new way to socialize has taken over teens in this new cyber age - electronic communication via the internet and cell phones is fast, easy and fun. However, when we communicate electronically, the message is simply "verbal", and as a result young people are learning how to interact without emotion. As this begins to affect their daily interactions, more and more teens seem cold, non-feeling and increasingly violent. Our child safety education booklets also address the dangers of internet predators and how to recognize grooming techniques. Materials designed for middle elementary to jr high, but essential for all kids involved with electronic communication.

Drinking, Drugs and Substance Abusesubstance-abuse-set

For years young people have been told all about the dangers of drugs and alcohol and the ill-effects these substances can have on their health. Although this information is correct, somehow the message the teen heard was that their first experience would be miserable. The reality is that most young people will enjoy their first experience, contradicting what they have been told. These safety booklets for kids in their teens are a straight forward, reality based "day-in-the-life" accounting of how a person can go from experimenting to dependency - how quick and easy it is to become addicted, without even knowing it! Materials designed for teenagers with separate component for parents.
